Newspapers

The Library of the John F. Kennedy Institute at Freie Universität Berlin is responsible for the special subject collection “North American Newspapers”.

The Special Subject Collection “North American Newspapers” comprises newspapers and newsmagazines published in the U.S. or Canada. At the moment there are 42 subscriptions for newspapers and newsmagazines running. Furthermore the library offers extensive holdings for more than 1.500 historical and modern newspapers, including newspapers published by German exile communities in the U.S.

All newspapers can be ordered via interlibrary loan. Please order via your home library by indicating year, date and if possible article name. You are also welcome to access the materials in the reading rooms of JFKI library.

The institute awards grants for scholars who want to work with the resources in the JFKI library collections.
